Martín Demichelis rounded out his coaching staff at RB Leipzig on just his second day on the job. One name in particular stands out among the assistant coaches: Cristian Fiél. The 46-year-old most recently served as head coach at Hertha BSC and previously at Dynamo Dresden and 1. FC Nürnberg.
With Stefan Buck, the Argentine Demichelis has brought along a longtime colleague from his days at Bayern Munich. Among other roles, the two worked together on the U19 coaching staff and with Munich’s reserve team. Most recently, the 45-year-old served as an assistant coach for Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt until January 2026. Mariano Cambursano, whom Demichelis knew from his time at River Plate, also accompanied him during his stints at CF Monterrey and RCD Mallorca. His focus is on game and opponent analysis.
