With the fit center-back duo Minjae Kim and Dayot Upamecano, FC Bayern München goes into the Bundesliga top match at RB Leipzig. The duo return to the starting eleven after an injury layoff. Veteran Thomas Müller is also fit again, initially sitting on the bench at the Leipzig Arena on Saturday evening. Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel must do without Matthijs de Ligt (blow to the knee) and Serge Gnabry (forearm fracture).
Leipzig starts, except for the long-term injured Willi Orban and Dani Olmo, in the best lineup. Lois Openda and Xavi Simons should provide highlights after they had been spared during the week in the cup. Dutchman Simons was Leipzig's best in the 3-0 Supercup win at the end of August alongside standout triple scorer Olmo, and has three goals and five assists in five Bundesliga games so far.
