Bundesliga club RB Leipzig has apparently found a buyer for its striker André Silva. According to media reports, the Portuguese is moving to Spain and joining FC Elche. Previously, there had long been speculation about Silva returning to Bundesliga rivals Werder Bremen, to whom he was loaned out last season.
A transfer fee in the region of €1.5 million is being discussed for Silva. Four years ago, RB paid 23 million euros for the former Portuguese international.
Silva has long been considered a candidate for sale in Leipzig. He moved to Saxony from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2021, but was never able to live up to the high expectations. After two years, he began a two-year loan, first to Real Sociedad San Sebastian in Spain and then to Bremen. He was never able to establish himself anywhere. So it took RB a long time to find a buyer.
