Thousands of people demonstrated in Leipzig on May 1st - mainly peacefully, according to police. At the eight gatherings with more than 5,000 participants, there were only isolated incidents of pyrotechnics being set off and people wearing masks, as well as shouts with anti-Israel and anti-police content, Leipzig police headquarters announced on Thursday. In general, however, the outcome was positive, it concluded.
