The State Harvest Festival in Hoyerswerda reaches its climax on Sunday (13:00) with a parade. The most beautiful harvest crowns will be presented on horse-drawn carriages. An ecumenical harvest thanksgiving service will take place in St. John's Church in the morning (10.00 am).
The festival has been held since Friday under the title "Tradition unites town and country". Visitors can expect a program with several stages, a blue light mile from the police and fire department, as well as a large funfair. With an average of 50,000 visitors, the State Harvest Festival is one of the largest folk festivals in the Free State after the Day of the Saxons.
