AfD cancels election campaign due to severe weather warnings in Saxony

In view of the severe weather warnings for Saxony, the AfD has canceled its election campaign finale on Sunday on Dresden's Theaterplatz. "A similar event will be held later in the Saxony state election campaign," the party announced on its website on Friday.

Originally, a program with speeches by party leaders Tino Chrupalla and Alice Weidel as well as Jörg Urban, the Saxon state leader, was planned. The German Weather Service had previously warned of heavy rainfall from Friday to Sunday afternoon.
