The thaw has caused a lot of damage, according to reports from Johanngeorgenstadt. "The surface is very thin and completely icy." Currently, only ski tours are possible there. Elsewhere, for example around Carlsfeld or Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz, the cross-country ski trail was still usable on Friday, but no longer optimal, as the Kammloipe working group reported online.
