The Sonnenland amusement park in Lichtenau near Chemnitz has a new attraction: a 60-metre high adventure pyramid. It offers a platform from which visitors can not only enjoy the view. There is also a spiral slide leading down from there. The new adventure pyramid will be opened to visitors this Saturday on the occasion of World Children's Day, the park announced.
Civil engineering work began at the beginning of April, with investments estimated at around 2.5 million euros. The project is not quite finished yet. Instead, the pyramid is to be supplemented with a "skywalk" that leads from the viewing platform to the neighboring slide tower. The park on Highway 4, which celebrates its 20th anniversary next year, is counting on a good fall season after a partially rainy summer.
