Saxony is once again offering support for tourist attractions that attract visitors all year round. The Aufbaubank will be accepting applications from March 19.

The Free State of Bavaria is resuming a funding program to support year-round tourism offers. This year, two million euros are available for non-seasonal investments, as announced by the Ministry of Tourism. Planned investments of 10,000 euros or more are eligible for funding. The Sächsische Aufbaubank will be accepting applications from small and medium-sized as well as municipal companies and registered associations from 19 March.

The program is intended to support existing providers in summer and winter tourism in adapting to year-round operation. "In order for our tourism businesses in Saxony to remain competitive, we need more season-independent offers," said Tourism Minister Barbara Klepsch (CDU). Accordingly, support is available for new establishments, the expansion of existing capacities and projects that bring additional offers to the region. The projects must make a contribution to sustainability.

Funds for the funding program were already planned in the 2023/2024 double budget. In the two years, 20 projects received around 7.2 million euros, including the mobile pump track in Oberwiesenthal and the water playground in Wurzelrudi's Adventure World in Eibenstock.
