In Delitzsch's baroque castle, everything will soon revolve around the dice game. For a new exhibition, the organizers can draw on the incredibly large collection of a Leipzig resident.

The Delitzsch Baroque Castle in North Saxony is dedicating this year's Christmas exhibition to dice games. From 28 November to 22 February, the exhibition "Dice, puzzles, gambling - the history of dice" will be on display, according to the organizers.

The exhibition is based on the unusual private collection of Jakob Gloger from Leipzig. The 34-year-old has collected around 15,000 exhibits on the subject of dice.

These include dice games, dice machines, dice spinning tops, 2,000-year-old stick dice made from cattle bones and dice used by political parties, companies and soccer clubs to advertise themselves. Gloger has also collected many things that have to do with the 5,000-year history of dice rolling.

Three years ago, the Leipzig City History Museum had already shown his exhibits in a large exhibition. Gloger's collection is one of the most extensive in the world on the cultural history of dice, it was said.
