Dresden/Magdeburg/Erfurt - In view of the weather conditions, some rivers in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia have exceeded the reporting limit for flooding.

In Thuringia, the first two water levels that have exceeded the reporting limit are on the Saale in the Rudolstadt and Saalfeld-Remschütz region, according to the flood information center.

In Saxony, the Elbe has reached alert level 1 in Riesa and Schöna, according to an overview from the state flood information center. This is the lowest of four alert levels.

In Saxony-Anhalt, several smaller rivers in the state have exceeded alert level one of four. According to the State Flood Protection Agency on Wednesday, the Harz Mountains are particularly affected, as are tributaries of the Elbe near Salzwedel and Löben.
