Mushrooms are also sprouting in the Saxon Switzerland National Park at the moment - but there are rules for picking them. The national park administration points this out. Among other things, a path ban applies. This means that pickers may only pick mushrooms directly along the paths - without leaving the paths.
Leaving the paths is an administrative offence, as is parking in unauthorized places. You could be fined. A number of illegal parkers in particular have recently been identified.
The administration also points out that mushrooms may not be collected for commercial purposes. No more than two kilograms per person may end up in the baskets. Compliance with the regulations and bans in the national park will be monitored.
