The new parents have already been busy behind the scenes for weeks - and the park's latest addition will soon be a source of curiosity.

The zoo in Delitzsch (district of North Saxony) has had plenty of offspring. As the town announced, young animals from four different species have seen the light of day this month. Visitors will be able to see the little ones for the first time in the coming weeks.

Alpacas, striped skunks and more

The black-tailed prairie dogs, fox mongooses and striped skunks have been happy parents since the beginning of the month. The young animals are currently still being cared for in their whelping boxes, according to reports. According to initial estimates, two sets of three and one set of five kittens were born. They should be discovered in the park by mid-July at the latest.

The alpacas also had offspring: two of the three expected foals are already in the world. According to information from the city, the arrival of the third animal is imminent.
