Several flights canceled due to Lufthansa strikes

Several flights will be canceled in Dresden and Leipzig this Thursday due to the announced Lufthansa strikes. According to the websites of the two airports, three flights to Frankfurt are affected in Leipzig and six flights to Frankfurt and Munich in Dresden.

Work stoppages by Lufthansa pilots and cabin crew have been announced for this Thursday at the same time. According to the company, it wants to minimize the impact on its passengers as much as possible. If possible, passengers affected by flight cancellations will be rebooked on other airlines.

Travelers are asked to check their contact information and update it if necessary. In the event of cancellation, passengers with a registered mobile phone number will automatically receive a notification with an alternative travel option. Passengers traveling within Germany can use Deutsche Bahn.

In principle, the crew unions want to prevent all departures in Germany throughout the day. The pilots are striking at the airlines Lufthansa and Lufthansa Cargo. The cabin crew union Ufo has also called on staff at the Lufthansa core company and the regional subsidiary Cityline to go on a warning strike.
