Five people have been injured, two of them seriously, in a rear-end collision in the Vogtland district. According to police reports on Sunday, a 23-year-old woman rear-ended the stationary car of a 60-year-old man on the B282 federal highway near Rosenbach on Saturday. This pushed the car into the oncoming lane, where it collided with the car of a 72-year-old man. The 60-year-old man and the 72-year-old man were taken to hospital with serious injuries, while the 23-year-old woman who caused the accident and her passengers, aged 17 and 18, sustained minor injuries. All vehicles had to be towed away - the damage is estimated at around 42,000 euros. The B282 was reportedly closed for over three hours.
