Guide Michelin honors Brüder-Restaurant in Aue-Bad Schlema, while stars are canceled for the 'Falco' in Leipzig.

Saxony's top gastronomy has a new starred restaurant. The specialists at the "Guide Michelin" added the "St. Andreas" in Aue-Bad Schlema, run by two brothers, to their list with one star. However, in the German edition of the well-known restaurant guide published on Tuesday, the two stars for the "Falco" in Leipzig were removed after 15 years. The gourmet temple was closed in November 2023. This means that there are now eight restaurants in the country with one Michelin star.

With the "Stadtpfeiffer", the "Frieda" and the "Kuultivo", there are still three starred restaurants in Leipzig, as well as the "Elements" and the "Genuss-Atelier" in Dresden. With the "Atelier Sanssouci" at Villa Sorgenfrei in Radebeul and the "Juwel" at Hotel Bei Schumann in Schirgiswalde-Kirschau, two hotel restaurants were also able to retain their stars.

In total, the new "Michelin Guide" lists 340 gourmet restaurants nationwide - a new record, according to the culinary experts. The coveted award is valid for one year at a time. The gastronomic guide will be available in stores from May 6.
