Saxony would like to further expand its economic relations with Taiwan. Wirtschaftsförderung Sachsen GmbH (WFS) has agreed to cooperate with the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce Abroad (AHK). In future, the AHK will support local projects and establish contacts between companies as a representative of WFS, as announced by Saxony Economic Development Corporation.
Key partner in future industries
Taiwan has become noticeably more important for Saxony in recent years, explained Saxony's Minister of Economic Affairs Dirk Pante. "Taiwan is a key economic partner for Saxony and a global leader in central industries of the future - especially semiconductors, electronics and precision manufacturing," said the SPD politician. This ties in directly with Saxony's strengths in microelectronics, automotive and mechanical engineering.
