From May 16, female founders and entrepreneurs can once again apply for the Saxon Female Founder Award. This was announced by the Saxon State Ministry of Justice and for Democracy, Europe and Equality, which awards the prize. The application period ends on 1 May, it said in a press release on Thursday.
The prize is intended to recognize the entrepreneurial activities of women in the Free State in three categories: 5000 euros each will go to a newcomer who has been on the market for less than three years and to an established female founder whose company has been in existence for more than three years. In addition, a sustainability prize, also endowed with 5,000 euros, will be awarded to a female founder whose innovative business model promotes social and ecological transformation, according to a statement. This prize is sponsored by AOK Plus Sachsen/Thüringen.
According to the press release, the start-up concepts and business strategies of the submitted applications will be evaluated and weighted by a nine-member jury of experts.
