The Irish low-cost airline Ryanair is significantly reducing its services in Germany. Dortmund, Dresden and Leipzig will no longer be served from summer 2025, as the airline announced in Hamburg. The offer in Hamburg will be reduced by 60 percent in the summer, that in Berlin by 20 percent. In total, the offer in Germany next summer will be reduced by twelve percent compared to this summer. 22 routes will be eliminated. It has been known since August that Ryanair intends to reduce its services at the capital's BER airport.
A statement said: "This is due to the German government's continued failure to reduce air traffic tax, security and air traffic control charges, which is hampering recovery and growth."
Ryanair had already threatened in August to cut its services in Germany if the German government did not withdraw the air traffic tax, which was increased in May.
