From August 5, rail travelers can expect restrictions between Leipzig and Chemnitz for a good two months. This is due to construction work, according to Mitteldeutsche Regiobahn. Accordingly, the trains on the RE 6 line will run according to the regular timetable between Leipzig and Geithain until October 13. In Geithain, there will be a change to the rail replacement service with later departure times in the direction of Chemnitz main station.
