A 78-year-old pedestrian has been hit and seriously injured by a car on a crosswalk near Auengrund (Hildburghausen district), according to police. A 37-year-old driver overlooked the pedestrian in the Brattendorf district on Friday morning, a police spokeswoman said. The 78-year-old was taken to hospital.
