A 56-year-old motorcyclist lost control of his bike during an overtaking maneuver in a bend near Mittweida and was seriously injured. On Sunday afternoon, the 56-year-old crossed the center line of state road 201 in the area of a double bend with his motorcycle in order to overtake a car, police said on Monday morning. When the man tried to get back into the lane after overtaking, his vehicle swerved out of the bend to the right and collided with a crash barrier.
According to the police, the cause of the accident was excessive speed. The man was seriously injured and taken to hospital. The property damage amounts to 2050 euros.
