Train stations in Saxony have a significant need to catch up when it comes to safe bicycle parking spaces. More than half of the 511 train stations in the Free State failed the assessment of bicycle parking facilities, according to the General German Bicycle Club (ADFC) Saxony. According to the report, 173 train stations in Saxony have no bicycle parking facilities at all.
In contrast, 115 train stations (22 percent) received a good or very good rating. At these 115 stations, there is at least one covered and theft-proof parking space for every tenth passenger boarding, according to the ADFC’s analysis.
