According to Deutsche Bahn (DB), long-distance services on the route between Berlin and Dresden are no longer affected following storm damage and repairs to an overhead line. According to a DB spokesperson, the affected section of track has been double-tracked again since Friday morning. On Tuesday, trees had fallen into an overhead line near Luckau (Dahme-Spree district). The section of track was temporarily closed and trains were rerouted.
The line had been open on one track since Thursday morning and the overhead line had been repaired. This caused delays between Berlin Südkreuz and Doberlug-Kirchhain (Elbe-Elster district). The disruptions were reportedly rectified by Friday morning. According to the spokesperson, there should be no more delays.
