The Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) has given the green light for a continuation of the TV show series "Die Feste mit Florian Silbereisen". "We are delighted that the MDR Broadcasting Council approved MDR's proposal to continue Die Feste mit Florian Silbereisen for ARD in 2027/2028 to the same extent as before," explained the broadcaster. MDR did not comment on further details. Contractual details could not be provided at present in view of pending consultations in other ARD committees, it said.
The shows with the pop singer and presenter have been among the most successful entertainment programs on ARD for years. Formal consultation with other ARD committees is still pending.
Silbereisen is one of the best-known show stars in the pop music business. The presenter and singer is also known to many TV viewers as an actor. He has played Captain Max Parger in the classic ZDF series "Traumschiff" for many years.
