Consumer prices in Saxony rose by 2.9 percent in 2024. The increase was significantly lower than in 2023 (6.5 percent), according to the State Statistical Office in Kamenz.
The costs for nursing home services rose by an average of 9.7 percent in 2024 and those for outpatient care facilities by 9.0 percent. Tenants had to budget 2.4 percent more money for their home in the previous year. Energy prices rose by an annual average of 1.7%. In contrast, fuel prices fell by 2.6 percent.
