Saxony's Ministry of Agriculture has launched a new round of tenders for potential Bio-Regio model regions. Cities and municipalities, clubs, initiatives, chambers and associations can apply until March 31, the ministry announced. The aim of the funding is for stakeholders with experience in regional food marketing to cooperate in order to establish and strengthen organic-regional value chains in their region.
More regional value creation improves the position of agricultural businesses in the value chain, said Saxony's Agriculture Minister Georg-Ludwig von Breitenbuch. "In addition, the market for regional and bio-regional Saxon products will be strengthened - from processing to trade to gastronomy," emphasized the CDU politician.
