The Dresden State Art Collections are still experiencing restrictions following a hacker attack. "There is no new status yet," a spokeswoman told the German Press Agency. The museums are still open.
The security system is therefore fully functional. However, the online store and visitor service are currently unavailable. It is also only possible to pay in cash at the museums and tickets cannot currently be ordered online. However, all online tickets that have already been booked remain valid and can be read on site, it said.
The cyber attack occurred on Wednesday. According to the art collections, "large parts of the digital infrastructure" were affected. Further details on the nature of the hacker attack and possible perpetrators have not yet been released.
The Dresden State Art Collections are an association of 15 museums. These include the Green Vault in Dresden's Royal Palace, the Old Masters Picture Gallery in the Zwinger and the New Masters Gallery in the Albertinum.
