The police have checked the speed of cars in Upper Lusatia. One speeding driver will have to surrender his license for a longer period of time.

Police in Boxberg in Upper Lusatia flashed a speeding driver who was traveling more than twice as fast as the speed limit. Instead of 70 kilometers per hour, the sports car was driving 160 kilometers per hour on the B156 near Nochten, the police announced. The penalty was a three-month driving ban, 700 euros and two points. It was by no means the only incident: of 528 vehicles measured, 111 were speeding.
