A 47-year-old man was seriously injured during an overtaking maneuver on the Bundesstraße 95 near Annaberg-Buchholz in the Erzgebirgskreis. According to the police on Monday, he was trying to overtake a convoy of vehicles in his car on Friday when the car of a 40-year-old man suddenly started to overtake. As a result of the side-on collision, the 47-year-old's car left the road and crashed into a metal railing. Emergency services took him to hospital. According to the police, property damage of around 16,000 euros was caused.
