Too much chocolate spread has caused a van on the highway 4 (Erfurt-Dresden) to become overweight. Police officers noticed the vehicle on Friday night because it was particularly low to the ground, according to the Zwickau police department. During the check near Crimmitschau, it turned out that it weighed a total of 6.7 tons, far more than permitted (3.5 tons). The officers found the reason for this in the load compartment: there were boxes piled high with jars of nut nougat cream. According to the police, the 57-year-old driver had to make a forced stop. He was only allowed to continue driving once some of the sweet cargo had been transferred to another vehicle.
