A motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident on the B173 federal highway near Lichtenstein in the district of Zwickau on Sunday afternoon. The 47-year-old man crashed due to gravel on the road, police said on Monday. As a result of the fall, the tank of his motorcycle was damaged and the leaking fuel and the motorcycle caught fire. The resulting property damage amounted to 6,000 euros.
