A family of seven swans is causing regular police call-outs. The officers are considering a long-term solution.

A family of seven swans has caused several incidents in Limbach-Oberfrohna (Zwickau district) in recent days. The two parents and their five young repeatedly strolled through the town and also used busy roads, according to the police.

For a week now, the family, which has settled at a nearby pond, has been spotted repeatedly on their excursions. Apparently, the swans are regularly drawn to explore the area. In doing so, they are said to have caused considerable traffic disruption.

With a great deal of patience and tact, the emergency services guided the feathered escapees back to their home waters. But if the swan migration does not come to an end soon, the authorities are considering relocating the family to a less busy area in the long term.
