Saxony speeds up asylum procedures

The large number of asylum procedures is also putting a strain on the administrative courts in Saxony. An "asylum summit" was held in March to discuss how to ease the burden on the courts. The first results are now available.

More absences due to flu and colds

A wave of colds caused many days of absence from work in Saxony in the first half of the year. Overall, however, the sickness rate was lower than in the previous year.
