FC Erzgebirge Aue can still win after all. The Saxons, who had already been relegated from the 3rd Football League, won 5:3 (1:3) at FC Ingolstadt to celebrate their first victory in 2026 three matchdays before the end of the season. Aue played a spectacular second half and turned the game around with four goals after the break.
The team from Aue fell behind by two goals early on in Ingolstadt. However, the team then showed morale and managed to score the equalizer through Julian Guttau. Although Ingolstadt restored the two-goal gap by the break, Aue turned up the heat after the break. Guttau, Erik Weinhauer, Ryan Malone and Guttau again ensured the first Erzgebirge treble of the year.
