Basketball Bundesliga club Syntainics MBC has signed wing player Anthony Gaines. The 28-year-old US-American signed a two-year contract with the MBC, the club announced. The 1.93-meter-tall Gaines is already familiar with German basketball, having played for the Hakro Merlins Crailsheim in the ProA in the past two seasons and before that for the Nuremberg Falcons.
"Anthony has his strengths in athleticism and defense, is an exceptionally good rebounder for his size and will give our team more versatility thanks to his versatility," said MBC Sports Director Silvano Poropat. After Vuk Radojicic, Gaines is the second new signing in the current seven-man squad of new Head Coach Vladimir Jovanovic.
