Dynamo Dresden enriched their long break from matches with a commanding victory in a test match. The second-division club, who will not play their DFB Cup match against Bundesliga side FSV Mainz 05 until August 18 due to a city festival in Dresden, won 3-0 (2-0) against the second team of Hertha BSC, who play two divisions below them, at the Walter Fritzsch Academy.
Stefan Kutschke in the fourth minute and Paderborn returnee Luca Herrmann with a brace (45th and 55th) scored the goals, with Herrmann benefiting shortly before the break from a gross error by Hertha goalkeeper Maximilian Mohwinkel.
