The Syntainics MBC will host the final tournament of the European North Basketball League ENBL. The basketball Bundesliga club from Weißenfels had reached the Final Four and has now been awarded the contract for the tournament on April 22 and 23.
In addition to the host, two other participants have already been confirmed: Manchester Basketball and Dziki Warsaw. "After winning the cup last year, we want to write the next chapter of sporting history in Weißenfels and offer our fans an international highlight," said manager Martin Geissler in a statement.
Last year, the club hosted the semi-finals and final of the BBL Cup. Weißenfels first beat the big favorites Bayern Munich and then Bamberg in the final.
