After the defeat in the final series against Suhl, Dresdner SC can announce the first personnel decisions. Two players have extended their contracts.

Bundesliga volleyball club Dresdner SC can continue to rely on the services of captain and libera Patricia Nestler and Dutch outside hitter Jette Kuipers. As the German runners-up announced two days after the end of the season, both players have extended their contracts for the coming season.

National player Nestler, who returned to her home club in 2024 after four years in Schwerin and Vilsbiburg, is now entering her third season with the club from the city on the Elbe. "It wasn't a difficult decision for me. I feel very comfortable here and have the chance to develop well," said the 24-year-old.

"Patricia Nestler is from the region and is very rooted here. She took another big step forward in reception and defense last season. She also fulfills her role as captain of the team very well and is hugely important to us as a personality," explained coach Alexander Waibl. "Jette Kuipers is also very valuable to us in her position. She goes into every training session and every game with one hundred percent motivation and enthusiasm. That's why I'm delighted to be able to continue working with both of them."

Kuipers moved to the Elbe from Suhl last summer. "I believe in the goals of the club and the coaching staff and I want to compete at the highest level and win titles with the club," said the 24-year-old.
