After three unbeaten games, 1. FC Magdeburg's mini streak has come to an end. In front of 15,000 spectators, the team from the city on the Elbe lost 3:4 (2:3) at SC Paderborn in the 2nd Bundesliga. Lubambo Musonda (25th minute), Mateusz Zukowski (38th) and Laurin Ulrich (59th) scored for FCM, while Filip Bilbija (19th, 29th, 45th +2, 78th) scored four times for Paderborn. With the defeat, FCM slipped to 15th place in the table, but remain ahead of Braunschweig thanks to their better goal difference.
"We were very inattentive when defending, especially in set-piece situations. That's negligent in the situation we're in," said an annoyed FCM coach Petrik Sander, but also emphasized: "You have to take your hat off to the fact that we came back three times and equalised three times."
