The shake-up at third division club Aue continues. The Erzgebirge club has now signed another defender.

Another defender, Eric Uhlmann, has joined third-division soccer club FC Erzgebirge Aue. The 22-year-old Leipzig native comes to the Lößnitz Valley from Hannover 96 II. "In his first year in the 3rd division, Eric Uhlmann has shown that he can keep up and even progress at this level. He can be deployed flexibly both in defensive midfield and in central defense, and his eight goals this season speak for themselves in terms of goal threat," said Aue's sporting director Matthias Heidrich.

Uhlmann trained at RB Leipzig from 2011 and then moved to Hannover in the summer of 2022. He was promoted to the 3rd division with Lower Saxony, where the 1.82-metre defender played a total of 30 games.
