The German ski jumpers have to wait for their first podium finish at their home World Cup event in Klingenthal and are currently unable to keep up with the absolute world elite. On Saturday, Selina Freitag finished fourth after jumps of 126 and 131 meters. Agnes Reisch (5th) and Katharina Schmid (13th) completed a decent team result for the team of national coach Heinz Kuttin.
The trio is currently unable to get past Japan's Nozomi Maruyama and Slovenia's Nika Prevc. This time Prevc (135 and 138 meters) won just ahead of Maruyama (134 and 135 meters), on Friday Maruyama had won ahead of Prevc.
The podium was completed in the second competition by Anna Odine Ström from Norway. On Sunday, only one men's World Cup competition will take place in Klingenthal.
