RB Leipzig can put pressure on their Bundesliga rivals and return to a Champions League place for the first time since mid-February. If the fifth-placed Saxons win at VfL Wolfsburg on Friday evening (20:30/DAZN), they will overtake FSV Mainz 05 for one night in any case. If they win by more than four goals to one, the RB team would also overtake Eintracht Frankfurt for the time being.
"Normally, Wolfsburg should be higher in the table according to the statistics. You can clearly see Ralph's signature, which makes them an unpleasant opponent. We need a strong performance to take something away with us," said RB coach Zsolt Löw. The Hungarian worked as Hasenhüttl's assistant in Leipzig for two years.
