Halle FC must reorganize its sporting management team. Sports director Daniel Meyer will not extend his expiring contract and will leave the regional soccer league club. In future, he will become managing director of sport at second division club SpVgg Greuther Fürth, HFC announced. "Daniel Meyer has taken on responsibility in a difficult situation and provided important impetus. We are grateful to him for that. We understand his decision and wish him all the best for the future, both professionally and personally," explained the HFC board in a press release. So HFC has to restructure the sporting management level just a few days after winning the national cup. Marian Unger, who was previously head of the licensed player department, will take over responsibility in future. HFC is thus focusing on an internal solution and continuity in the club's sporting direction, the club continued. Copyright 2026, dpa (www.dpa.de). All rights reservedInternal successor solution
