Second division side 1. FC Magdeburg turn around a deficit in Fürth to win 5:1. Weaknesses at set-pieces bring the hosts back, but after a total of nine goals Magdeburg clinch the important away win.

1. FC Magdeburg celebrated an important victory in the 2nd Bundesliga. The team from the Elbe city won 5:4 (5:3) at SpVgg Greuther Fürth in a spectacular match in front of 11,061 spectators. Despite taking a 5:1 lead, they had to tremble until the end.

After that, the game became increasingly flat, with only the question of whether one team would manage to score. Magdeburg saved the victory in the end - Reimann intercepted a corner kick just before the line. Curious: The away team had already won the first leg 5:4.
