Marco Rose is set to take over as coach of AFC Bournemouth in the new season. According to a report in the Telegraph, the 49-year-old is currently the top candidate to succeed Andoni Iraola at the English Premier League club. The Spaniard had announced that he would not be renewing his contract, which expires at the end of the season.
In addition to Rose, Kieran McKenna from Ipswich Town is a candidate, but Bournemouth would probably have to pay a transfer fee of almost seven million euros. There would be no such problems with Rose, whose contract with RB Leipzig expires at the end of June. Rose had coached the Bundesliga club until the end of March 2025 and was then relieved of his duties.
Bournemouth are currently eleventh in the Premier League. However, the club from the south coast is only three points behind sixth place and hopes to participate in the European Cup next season.
