Two days after the home debacle against Munich, the Chemnitz basketball team looks transformed. In the Eurocup, they beat the league leaders from France.

Bundesliga basketball club Niners Chemnitz has recorded its third successive home win in the Eurocup. The team of Head Coach Rodrigo Pastore defeated league leaders Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse by 88:82 (41:38) after an impressive performance.

Corey Davis Jr. was the Niners' best scorer with 19 points as they remain sixth in Group B with a record of eight wins and seven defeats.

The club from Chemnitz was slow to get into the game in offense, but prevented the French club from opening up an early gap with its courageous defensive work. As the home side's shooting percentage increased, it produced a 9:0 run to take a 22:18 lead (12th minute).

The pace and intensity picked up considerably from then on. Chemnitz defended its lead with great passion and pulled away after the break with a 13:2 run to 58:46 (26') thanks to its three-pointers. The visitors rallied once more in the final period and reduced the deficit to 73:78 with two minutes remaining, but the Niners were not able to turn the game around.
