Leipzig's sporting director Marcel Schäfer made a commitment to RB coach Marco Rose after the 0-0 draw at SC Freiburg. When asked whether the 48-year-old would remain coach for RB Leipzig's home Bundesliga match against Borussia Dortmund next Saturday and beyond, his answer was a clear "yes".
"It's always surprising. No matter how you do it, it's always somehow wrong," said sporting director Schäfer. "The fast-paced nature of our business is widely criticized, and perhaps rightly so. Now we're taking a completely different approach and want to get through a difficult phase with a coach who was born in Leipzig, who has won titles, and then you get the questions every week."
