FSV Mainz 05 are looking forward to the long-distance duel with RB Leipzig for qualification for the Conference League. "This is a big day for us. We've trained for a whole year, we've done everything for a whole year," said coach Bo Henriksen ahead of the home game on the final matchday of the Bundesliga against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky).
Given their six-goal advantage over Leipzig, who are level on points, FSV will most likely only need a narrow victory to reach the European Cup for the first time in nine years.
"It's a dream come true for us to be able to play this game," said Henriksen ahead of the clash with Leverkusen. With a big win and a defeat for Borussia Dortmund against Holstein Kiel, even Europa League qualification is still possible.
