In the top-of-the-table clash in Bundesliga 2, 1. FC Magdeburg welcome league leaders Hamburger SV. Two early goals conceded quickly turned the game in the visitors' favor, Magdeburg never came back.

1. FC Magdeburg went into the international break with a heavy setback. The Blue & Whites lost 3-0 (0-2) against Hamburger SV in front of 27,270 spectators on Friday evening. However, little changed on the pitch, Magdeburg tried a few things but were too imprecise and HSV countered time and time again. However, the goal came when FCM gave Königsdörffer far too much space and allowed him to dribble into the box - Reimann had no chance.

The visitors switched back a little after that, but Magdeburg still hardly had any opportunities. Substitute Hercher first got stuck in defense (56') and then failed to find a teammate with his cross (56'). Although the FCM ran on unconditionally in the final minutes, they were unable to score despite all their efforts.
